چکیده

Background and aims: This study aimed to investigate compare the effect of early late breast milk fortification on growth parameters in preterm infants. Methods: In this clinical trial, 90 infants (28-32 weeks) admitted neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Hajar Hospital Shahrekord, Iran were randomly divided into three groups. The was performed when intake reached 30 (group A), 70 B), 100 cc/kg C). height, weight, head circumference newborns measured at beginning birth 4 weeks after birth. incidence sepsis necrotizing enterocolitis, tolerance investigated as well. All analyses conducted with Stata software, P values<0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: value changes all groups significant (P<0.001). mean weight A, B, C 727.33±163.85, 947.33±155.38, 808.66±168.82, indicating a difference Further, change showed differences (P<0.001) among gain B group significantly higher than that A (P<0.05); however, no observed between (P=0.264). Conclusion: had better efficiency compared delayed fortification.
